Having Rolo’s birthday in mind, I asked David Füleki for a commission that would also commemorate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek. And here it is.

Happy (slightly belated) Birthday, Dearest Rolo!!!

And thanks, Dave.

It is good to see that people still commemorate Zero Requiem resp. Code Geass R2 Turn 25: Re:, even though I almost forgot it. Alas, it is still sad, and one is forced to wonder whether someone as smart as Lelouch could not have brought about a better world with a lower body count.

P.S. I am unable to figure out the artist’s name, just follow the link to Pixiv for the image in png-format.

Say, Big Brother, will you remember?

Alas, it is 17 August again, and we have to commemorate the death of Rolo Lamperouge once more. It is comforting though, to know that Lelouch really remembered him until the very end. The quote is from Picture Drama 19.02, which tells us Rolo’s thoughts in his final minutes. Strikingly, Rolo states that he, at any rate, will always remember Lelouch, which implies that he must believe in some sort of afterlife.

I hope that many people will keep remembering Rolo, too. I most certainly will because he is still one of the most interesting anime characters ever created, and the one that affected me most emotionally.

Rolo is not exactly known for being a womanizer, but there are two women in his life who are actually important to him, at least professionally. Obviously, I am talking about Villetta Nu and Sayoko Shinozaki. Interestingly enough, they are all in the secret agent business. Birds of a feather flock together, I guess.

I comissioned this picture of Rolo and “his women” a while ago. The artist’s name is Fuku and her Tumblr is communisthibiki.tumblr.com.

P.S.: I would have liked Sayoko to wear her maid uniform, but this is also nice.

HAPPY ROLO DAY 2016!

In other words: Lelouch is in for another reprogramming session.

So this is the other thing Rolo says to Suzaku in the final episode of Aktio. Talk about being cruel. What bugs me more is the fact that, like I stated before, this contradicts what Rolo says in Sound Episode 19.02, where he refers to his arrival in Ashford as their first meeting.

I would have presumed that Rolo and Lelouch were both in the capital at the same time at one point, and that Rolo might have seen Lelouch then, but this goes beyond that. Rolo might still be referring to the fact that they met in Ashford for the first time as Rolo and Lelouch Lamperouge, but one still gets the feeling that the story has been tampered with.
